I'm very excited to announce that my Fodder Keeper lessons and my fussy cut botanical lessons are available as their own solo course!
Start by learning basic watercolor techniques to get yourself familiar with watercolors. Then, grab your paintbrush and play along with me as I show you how to create fun, loose, and colorful watercolor botanicals. My techniques will transform your watercolors into beautiful fussycuts!
Next, I will guide you in using easy, beginner friendly mixed media techniques to create your own materials for your Fodder Keeper book.
Complete this course by constructing the Fodder Keeper using your own handmade materials and following my clear and easy to follow video instructions.
My first solo course will be available soon! In the Circle Books class, I’ll be teaching four different ways to construct circular books from start to finish. However, all of the techniques learned in these lessons will easily apply to any book no matter the size or shape. There are also techniques in creating watercolor backgrounds, collage fodder, and art journaling pages. I hope that students of the Circle Books course will be encouraged by my love of experimentation and use some of the problem solving techniques in this course to create a book that will fit their needs and interests. If I’ve offered a variety of choices and instilled some courage in students for them to be able to make their own custom book, I will feel that I’ve accomplished my goal when I set out to create this course.
I'm the executive producer of Fodder School-year round, online mixed media courses that encourages the making and use of collage fodder. We host a different teacher each month and guide you through the creation of collage fodder during the first half of the month, and then we focus on a project where we use the fodder you've created in the second half. This process repeats each month for 12 months with some bonus lessons thrown in by some of our teachers! Some of the art created include watercolor, paper dyeing, bookmaking, collage art, gelli prints, and more!
Fodder School 3 is happening right now! Here's the project that I taught in the month of November 2023. We turned junk mail into beautiful and grungy painted folios to be used in all sorts of fun and useful ways. We also created loose watercolor fussycuts for decorating the folios, and much more!

Fodder School is a 12 month, online mixed media course. Each month, one of 12 different teachers will guide you through making your own handmade collage fodder and then show how to use that fodder to make a unique project.
These are my Fodder School 2 projects so far, including October 2022 through March 2023.
